We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Truck Dispatcher to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing freight coordination, scheduling, and communication between drivers, brokers, and shippers to ensure smooth and timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Find and book loads for drivers using load boards and broker networks
- Negotiate freight rates with brokers to ensure profitability for carriers
- Coordinate pick-up and delivery schedules with drivers
- Monitor driver locations and provide real-time updates to clients
- Maintain accurate records of loads, dispatches, and communications
- Provide excellent customer service and build long-term broker relationships
- Ensure compliance with all DOT and FMCSA regulations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in truck dispatching, freight brokerage, or logistics preferred
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Familiarity with load boards (e.g., DAT, Truckstop)
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of U.S. geography and transportation regulations
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written); Spanish is a plus
- Reliable internet connection and remote work setup (if remote)
