We are seeking a talented and ambitious individual to join our Zone team as a Finance Trainee. This role presents a unique opportunity to gain invaluable hands-on experience in the finance domain. The incumbent will assist with the day-to-day finance related operations, functions and duties.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets, including invoices and expense reports.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, including filing documents and ensuring data integrity.
- Assist in processing invoices, issuing payments, and following up on outstanding payments.
Budget Monitoring:
- Assist in monitoring and tracking departmental budgets, ensuring expenditures are in line with approved budgets.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, statements, and summaries on a regular basis or as requested by management.
- Help analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Reconcile bank statements with the general ledger to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
- Assist in reviewing and verifying employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Provide support during internal and external audits by gathering requested documents.
- Undertake additional financial and administrative tasks as assigned by the finance team.
