Online AI/OCR Engineer

We are seeking a full-time AI/OCR Engineer to join our remote team based in Islamabad, Pakistan. This role operates on a night shift schedule and requires a candidate with strong expertise in Python and applied artificial intelligence technologies. The ideal professional will have over four years of hands-on experience working in production environments, specifically with OCR, document intelligence, and natural language processing. The position focuses on developing and maintaining advanced document-processing pipelines and leveraging large language models to enhance workflow efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and optimize document-processing pipelines that handle structured data extraction from various document formats.
- Implement validation mechanisms and confidence scoring to ensure the accuracy and reliability of extracted information.
- Develop and integrate LLM-assisted workflows to improve automation and decision-making processes.
- Manage secure integrations with internal and external systems, ensuring data privacy and compliance.
- Monitor system performance, conduct rigorous testing, and oversee the deployment of AI-driven solutions in production environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve document intelligence capabilities and address evolving business needs.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in production-level Python development.
- Proven expertise in OCR technologies and document intelligence systems.
- Strong background in natural language processing (NLP) or applied AI techniques.
- Experience with building scalable and reliable data pipelines.
- Familiarity with confidence scoring methods and validation processes for extracted data.
- Ability to work effectively during night shifts in a remote setup.
- Solid understanding of secure integration practices and deployment workflows.
