Online Tutor

Mixt Academy is a global tutoring platform offering both online and on-site educational support to students following various international curricula, including Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel, and the International Baccalaureate (IB). As part of our expansion, we are seeking qualified and experienced IB tutors across all major subject areas and programme levels. The ideal candidates will have a strong grasp of the IB curriculum, assessment criteria, and examination structures, and be capable of delivering high-quality lessons to students enrolled in IB programmes such as PYP, MYP, and the Diploma Programme (IBDP) at both Standard Level (SL) and Higher Level (HL).

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured, engaging, and interactive online lessons aligned with the IB curriculum.
- Develop lesson plans and teaching materials based on IB subject guides and learning objectives.
- Prepare students for IB internal and external assessments, including Internal Assessments (IA), Extended Essays (EE), and Theory of Knowledge (TOK), while adhering to IB academic integrity standards.
- Explain complex concepts using effective teaching strategies and relevant examples.
- Foster students’ critical thinking, analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Monitor academic progress, identify areas for improvement, and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate class records and submit lesson feedback through the company’s tutor portal.
- Collaborate with academic and student support teams as needed.
- Maintain professional communication with students and parents.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant or closely related subject.
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience with the International Baccalaureate curriculum.
- Strong knowledge of IB syllabus requirements, subject guides, and assessment criteria.
- Experience teaching IB MYP or IBDP students, particularly at SL and HL levels depending on the subject.
- Familiarity with IB examination preparation and assessment methodologies.
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to clearly explain complex academic concepts in a structured manner.
- Professional approach with strong time management and commitment to student progress.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection, a laptop or desktop computer, and a suitable teaching environment.

- Language and Literature: English Language and Literature, English Language Acquisition, and other IB languages such as French, Spanish, German, and Arabic.
- Individuals and Societies: Business Management, Economics, Psychology, History, Geography, Global Politics, Environmental Systems and Societies (ESS), Philosophy, and Digital Society.
- Sciences: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Sports, Exercise and Health Science, and ESS.
- Mathematics: Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (AA), Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation (AI), at both SL and HL levels.
