Online Web Data Scraper

We are seeking a dedicated Web Data Scraper to join our team on a full-time basis, working remotely or in a hybrid setup from Karachi, Pakistan. This role operates during night shifts and offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from PKR 20,000 to 30,000. The primary focus of the position is to extract and manage publicly available web data, ensuring datasets remain accurate and organized. The role also involves supporting client outreach efforts and assisting with sales follow-up activities, making it ideal for candidates with strong technical skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

- Extract data from various public web sources using automated web scraping tools and techniques.
- Manage and maintain clean, well-structured datasets to support business needs.
- Utilize Python libraries and frameworks such as Requests, BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, or Selenium to develop and optimize scraping scripts.
- Validate and clean data to ensure accuracy and consistency across different formats including CSV, JSON, and Excel.
- Support lead generation efforts by organizing and managing scraped data for client outreach.
- Collaborate with sales teams to assist in follow-up activities based on the collected data.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data extraction and processing.
- Document processes and maintain clear records of scraping methodologies and data sources.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in Python web scraping using tools like Requests, BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, or Selenium.
- Strong understanding of web technologies including HTML and XPath for effective data extraction.
- Proficiency in handling data formats such as CSV, JSON, and Excel.
- Familiarity with SQL for querying and managing databases.
- Ability to validate and clean data to maintain high-quality datasets.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Capacity to work independently during night shifts in a remote or hybrid work environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
