This role is designed for a healthcare professional who is passionate about improving patient care and operational efficiency in the outpatient department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily OPD operations, ensuring smooth patient flow, and maintaining high standards of service and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall functioning of the outpatient department to reduce patient waiting times and improve service delivery.
- Manage patient registration, appointment scheduling, and billing processes with accuracy and efficiency.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of OPD staff to ensure seamless departmental operations.
- Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other hospital units to facilitate coordinated patient care.
- Maintain high patient satisfaction by following hospital policies and addressing any patient concerns promptly.
- Monitor OPD performance, identify operational challenges, and implement improvements as needed.
- Ensure proper upkeep and optimal utilization of OPD rooms to maximize operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation, preferably in Healthcare Administration or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in hospital or clinic operations, specifically in managing outpatient departments.
- Strong leadership skills coupled with excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in hospital management software and Microsoft Office applications.
