This internship offers an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates and aspiring developers to gain hands-on experience in open-source contributions while enhancing their GitHub profiles. As a part-time, remote role, the Open-Source Contributor & Community Intern will support Alphashots.AI’s open-source ecosystem and engage with its user community. The internship spans three weeks, requiring a daily commitment of 2-3 hours with flexible working hours. Candidates from any engineering discipline are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the development team to contribute to open-source projects.
- Actively engage with the open-source community and developers to encourage participation and gather feedback.
- Assist in organizing and promoting community events such as hackathons and meetups.
- Manage and maintain social media accounts on platforms like Reddit and LinkedIn.
- Support the growth and success of Alphashots.AI’s open-source initiatives through various community-driven activities.

Required Qualifications
- Open to applicants from any engineering stream.
- All candidates must complete the Unvibecode challenge, a 20-30 minute task that serves as the primary selection criterion for this internship.
- Willingness to work remotely and manage flexible hours.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Preference will be given to candidates with prior involvement in:
- Student or campus representative roles.
- Organizing technical events.
- Contributions to open-source projects.
- Membership in developer clubs or coding communities.
While prior experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory.

Incentives and Rewards
Selected interns will receive a fixed stipend of INR 10,000 (approximately PKR 28,000), along with an official recommendation letter from the founder and an e-certificate recognizing their contribution.

For those who do not qualify for the internship, there is still an opportunity to earn prize money and other rewards based on their performance in the Unvibecode challenge. The ₹10,000 cash prize pool will be distributed among four winners: two for the Engineering Issue track and two for the Technical Community Content track. Additional recognition includes:
- Personalized recommendation letters from the Alphashots.ai founding team for the top 10 performers.
- Certificates of Open-Source Contribution for the top 50 participants.
- An AI System Design Interview Preparation Pack for the first 100 eligible completers, which covers system design guides, production failure scenarios, guardrails, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agents, evaluation, routing, observability, and AI operations.
