Operation Assistant- Lahore

The Operation Assistant role based in Lahore is a full-time, on-site position focused on supporting daily logistics operations. The individual will coordinate vehicle schedules, track shipments, and ensure all freight documentation is accurate for movements by road, rail, air, and other modes. This role requires effective communication with drivers, clients, and internal teams to resolve operational challenges, maintain service quality, and support timely deliveries. Additionally, the assistant will handle data entry, maintain records, and prepare reports on operational performance while adhering to company procedures and compliance standards. The role also involves identifying process inefficiencies and contributing to continuous improvements within the operations department.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and schedule transport vehicles for inbound and outbound shipments across various modes including road, rail, and air.
- Track shipments and monitor their progress to ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams to address and resolve operational issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to freight movements and logistics activities.
- Assist in data entry, reporting, and analysis of operational performance metrics.
- Support compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Identify gaps in processes and contribute to workflow improvements within the operations team.
- Provide general administrative support to the logistics and operations department as needed.

Required Qualifications

- Strong skills in operations and operations management to efficiently support daily logistics activities and workflow coordination.
- Solid analytical abilities to monitor performance data, interpret operational information, and assist in problem-solving.
- Effective communication and customer service skills to professionally interact with clients, drivers, and internal stakeholders.
- Basic understanding of transportation and logistics processes including scheduling, routing, and shipment tracking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and familiarity with operational software and databases.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in logistics, transport operations, or a related field is advantageous.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline is preferred.
