Operations Support Associate

MCG Technologies is looking for a dedicated Operations Support Associate (Healthcare) to join their onsite team in Islamabad, working from 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM under the supervision of the Operations Manager. The role serves as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring a seamless and positive experience throughout their healthcare journey. This position focuses on delivering excellent customer service, managing patient registration, scheduling appointments, and coordinating insurance matters. By maintaining accurate records and supporting efficient workflows, the associate plays a vital role in enhancing patient satisfaction and ensuring smooth healthcare operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Respond promptly and professionally to appointment requests, phone calls, emails, and electronic messages.
- Greet patients with empathy and professionalism, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns to ensure a positive experience.
- Accurately register patients for appointments, procedures, and hospital admissions.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments using the health record system.
- Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information to maintain accuracy.
- Coordinate timely exams, procedures, and tests in collaboration with clinical teams.
- Verify insurance coverage, obtain necessary pre-authorizations, and explain benefits and coverage details to patients as needed.
- Collect and process co-pays, deductibles, and other financial responsibilities while maintaining transparency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to maintain smooth patient flow and support daily operational processes.
- Maintain up-to-date patient records and support efficient workflows.
- Ensure patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
- Adhere to healthcare regulations and internal procedures, handling sensitive information with discretion.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
- Prior experience in healthcare administration, patient registration, or customer service is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and health record systems is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to resolve problems effectively.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Commitment to patient-centered service and teamwork.
