The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating filler and block machines, ensuring smooth and efficient blowing and filling operations while strictly adhering to established procedures and quality standards. This role involves managing the filler operation at rated speeds, handling both filler and blower equipment when required, and participating in manual visual inspections on the RGB line according to rotation schedules. The operator will maintain accurate daily checklists, logbooks, and inspection forms, respond promptly to any abnormalities, and perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on the machines and accessories. Additionally, the operator will ensure proper handling and minimal wastage of raw materials, support other departments, and contribute to continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate filler and block machines efficiently, maintaining rated speeds and quality standards.
- Manage blower operations as needed, following the blower operator job descriptions.
- Participate in manual visual inspections on the RGB line as per rotation plans.
- Maintain daily checklists, logbooks, and fill out maintenance and online inspection forms accurately.
- Respond promptly to any abnormalities during machine operation.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance procedures on filler machines and accessories.
- Ensure proper handling and recording of raw materials, aiming to keep wastage below defined targets.
- Follow instructions from qualified operators, line foremen, and senior staff.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, respect colleagues, and work collaboratively as part of the team.
- Execute quick changeovers for flavors or packaging on machines as required.
- Participate in external and internal projects relevant to the role.
- Provide timely information regarding spare parts requirements.
- Clean and maintain machines and surrounding areas to ensure optimal working conditions.
- Support and facilitate other departments in achieving their targets.
- Undertake assignments as directed by senior personnel.
- Learn to operate additional machines to increase versatility.
- Implement and comply with Quality, Food Safety, and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) management systems.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree or Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in a relevant field.
