In this role, the Principal AI Engineer will define the AI strategy, architect complex models involving natural language processing and computer vision, and implement AI ethics and governance best practices. The incumbent will leverage frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch and manage deployment pipelines across multiple cloud platforms including AWS SageMaker, Microsoft Azure Machine Learning, and Google Cloud AI Platform. Responsibilities include guiding model development, overseeing model monitoring, and ensuring high performance and reliability of AI applications in a fast-paced fintech environment.
Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end development and deployment of AI solutions tailored for fintech applications.
  • Design, evaluate, and optimize deep learning architectures aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage a multidisciplinary team of 20 AI engineers, data scientists, and developers to deliver high-impact projects.
  • Develop and implement strategies for AI model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
  • Architect scalable AI systems using cloud computing platforms such as AWS SageMaker, Microsoft Azure Machine Learning, and Google Cloud AI Platform.
  • Drive adoption of best practices in AI ethics and governance to ensure responsible use of AI technologies.
  • Apply data science and analytics techniques to extract insights and improve AI system performance.
  • Oversee projects involving natural language processing and computer vision to enhance fintech product capabilities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business teams to align AI initiatives with company goals.
  • Stay current with the latest advances in AI and big data technologies to inform strategic technology decisions.
  • Mentor and develop team members to build technical skills and promote professional growth.
  • Ensure robust model monitoring frameworks are in place to detect model drift and maintain quality.
  • Contribute to AI strategy formulation that supports innovation and competitive advantage.
