Oracle EBS Technical Support Consultant

The Oracle EBS Technical Support Consultant will provide technical and production support for Oracle E-Business Suite R12. This role involves troubleshooting application and database issues, supporting customizations and integrations, developing technical objects, and performing root-cause analysis. The consultant will work closely with functional consultants and business users to ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests, supporting deployments, patches, and production releases. The position is full-time and based onsite in Karachi within the JBS Consulting business unit.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for Oracle E-Business Suite R12 applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to customizations, interfaces, reports, and workflows.
- Analyze application logs, concurrent programs, database errors, and other system messages to identify root causes.
- Monitor and support Oracle EBS integrations with third-party applications and external systems.
- Develop and maintain technical objects including reports, interfaces, conversions, extensions, and workflows.
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to understand requirements and implement technical solutions.
- Resolve incidents, service requests, and problem tickets within agreed SLA timelines.
- Support deployments, patches, testing activities, and production releases.
- Prepare technical specifications and documentation for enhancements, integrations, and bug fixes.
- Perform root-cause analysis for recurring technical and application issues.
- Participate in performance tuning, code optimization, and application health monitoring.
- Troubleshoot data migration issues and application errors.
- Support Oracle EBS production environments and Application Management Services (AMS) activities.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12.
- Proven hands-on experience in Oracle EBS technical development and production support.
- Strong expertise in PL/SQL development and troubleshooting.
- Practical experience with Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, and XML Publisher/BI Publisher.
- Experience with Oracle Workflow, Alerts, Concurrent Processing, and Oracle Application Framework (OAF).
- Knowledge of OAF personalization and customization techniques.
- Experience troubleshooting Oracle EBS interfaces and integrations.
- Understanding of data migration processes and related troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Database concepts.
- Experience in production support and AMS environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root-cause analysis.
- Ability to prepare detailed technical specifications and documentation.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with functional and technical teams.
- Ability to work within defined SLA and incident management processes.
