Oracle FLEXCUBE Subject Matter Expert (SME)

We are seeking an experienced Oracle FLEXCUBE Subject Matter Expert (SME) with 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in the core banking domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both implementation and production support of Oracle FLEXCUBE, demonstrating deep functional knowledge of core banking processes. This role involves working closely with business users, operations teams, and senior stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions, ensuring seamless banking operations and system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

Implementation & Consulting:
Participate actively in full lifecycle Oracle FLEXCUBE implementation projects. Lead requirement gathering sessions, conduct fit-gap analyses, and facilitate solution design workshops. Configure and parameterize FLEXCUBE modules to align with business needs. Prepare essential documentation including Functional Specifications (FSD), Business Requirement Documents (BRD), System Design Documents (SDD), test cases, and deployment plans. Support data migration, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), cutover, and go-live activities. Collaborate with technical teams on customizations, interfaces, and system integrations.

Production Support:
Provide Level 2 and Level 3 application support for Oracle FLEXCUBE environments. Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend permanent solutions. Manage End of Day (EOD) and Beginning of Day (BOD) batch monitoring, reconciliation, and other operational activities. Handle incident, problem, and change requests efficiently. Coordinate with Oracle Support for Service Request (SR) management and issue resolution.

Functional Expertise:
Serve as a Functional SME for various FLEXCUBE Core Banking modules. Offer business process and product expertise to stakeholders. Conduct impact assessments for system enhancements and regulatory changes. Support release planning, testing, and deployment efforts to ensure smooth transitions.

Required Qualifications

- 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience with Oracle FLEXCUBE.
- Involvement in at least two full-cycle FLEXCUBE implementation projects.
- Proven experience in production support and application maintenance.
- Exposure to upgrades, migrations, and enhancement initiatives.
- Strong interaction skills with business users, operations teams, and senior management.
- Solid banking domain knowledge, preferably in Retail and/or Corporate Banking.

Module Expertise (One or More):
Customer Information File (CIF), CASA, Deposits, Loans & Advances, Payments, Teller, Trade Finance, Limits & Collateral, Treasury (preferred).

Technical Skills:
Good understanding of FLEXCUBE product architecture. Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for query writing and troubleshooting. Experience with FLEXCUBE interfaces, APIs, and web services. Knowledge of batch processing, EOD/EOM cycles, and integration troubleshooting. Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

Oracle FLEXCUBE certification is highly desirable. Experience working with FLEXCUBE versions 12.x, 14.x, or higher is preferred. Exposure to Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, Middleware, and Payment Systems integration will be an added advantage.

Strong communication and documentation skills are critical. Experience mentoring junior consultants and support analysts is a plus.
