Orbit Internet Service Provider Pvt Ltd seeks a skilled Senior NOC Engineer to maintain and optimize its critical network infrastructure. This role focuses on ensuring reliable internet connectivity through troubleshooting, configuring network devices, and supporting routing protocols. The engineer works with advanced hardware from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, MikroTik, and Huawei to monitor network performance and resolve incidents efficiently. With at least three years of experience required, the candidate must adapt to shift work and support 24/7 network availability. Though the role does not include managing a team, the engineer collaborates closely with colleagues and vendors to diagnose and fix network issues, deploy upgrades, and maintain comprehensive documentation. This position provides an excellent opportunity to contribute significantly to the infrastructure of a dynamic ISP environment while enhancing technical expertise in network protocols and hardware.

Responsibilities

Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the ISP network infrastructure to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
Configure and manage routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP to optimize network traffic flow and reliability.
Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls from Cisco, Juniper, MikroTik, and Huawei to maintain robust network connectivity.
Use diagnostic tools such as ping and traceroute to analyze network issues and perform root cause analysis for incident resolution.
Implement VLANs, NAT, and DNS configurations following ISP standards and best practices to maintain network security and efficiency.
Provide second-level support for network incidents, escalating complex issues appropriately to ensure swift resolution.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation and configuration records to support compliance and auditing requirements.
Participate in shift work and on-call rotations to provide continuous 24/7 network support and rapid incident response.
Collaborate with vendors and service providers to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
Assess network infrastructure proactively, recommending and implementing necessary upgrades and patches to improve reliability and performance.
Continuously update technical knowledge by training on new networking technologies, protocols, and troubleshooting methodologies.
Follow network security best practices to safeguard ISP infrastructure and ensure secure operations.
