Paeds-SMO(Reliever)

We are seeking a dedicated medical professional to join our pediatric department, responsible for the prompt and accurate assessment of incoming patients. The role involves conducting thorough initial evaluations, including patient introductions, detailed history taking, comprehensive examinations, and reviewing previous medical records. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in documenting patient conditions clearly and updating consultants on newly admitted cases. This position requires effective communication with patients and their families to ensure their concerns are addressed and satisfaction is achieved.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide quick and precise assessment of incoming patients, including history taking, detailed examination, and review of old records.
- Document patient conditions accurately and maintain up-to-date medical records.
- Update consultants promptly regarding newly admitted patients and any changes in their status.
- Counsel patients and their families to address their needs and ensure satisfaction throughout their care.
- Formulate three different diagnoses based on patient history and examination, and discuss relevant investigations with consultants.
- Maintain proper communication with ward doctors, especially during handover (HOTO) processes.
- Ensure thorough documentation of patient history, notes, special events, and prognosis, and keep consultants informed accordingly.

Required Qualifications:
- MBBS degree.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in the pediatric department.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) are preferred.
- Flexible shift options including morning, evening, and night shifts.
