- Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual management reports and supporting analysis for Senior Management team.
- Ensure that financial statements are prepared as per applicable accounting framework i.e. IFRS).
- Reconcile books of accounts with subsidiary records.
- Ensure safe keeping of financial and physical records.
- Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations of banks accounts at main offices and at campuses.
- Analyse variance analysis of budget vs actual on monthly basis and present to management.
- Ensuring availability of cash at campus level as per requirements of approved expenditure.
- Ensuring Campuses remain within limits allocated to them when making expenditures
- Recording of invoices received from suppliers in Invoice Register per format prescribed under Form 8.5.2.
- Checking quantities and prices of invoices received with purchase orders/contracts and goods receipt note.
- Prepares cheques and payment vouchers and ensuring that complete supporting documents are attached before payment processing.
- Stamp voucher and related invoices as “Paid”, once these are paid.
- Deduction of income tax on payments at appropriate rate or obtaining tax exemption certificate in case of exempt suppliers.
- Preparing tax working, generating tax challan and depositing tax in bank on weekly basis.
- Reconciliation invoice register with the General Ledger on monthly basis.
- Ensuring filing of all vouchers on regular basis.
- Petty cash reimbursement to campuses after due procedures.
- Prepares payment instruments e.g. cheques, bank transfer letters, etc and issues to vendors/parties.
