JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

Establish user needs and monitor access and security, including controlling access permissions.
Monitor performance, manage parameters for fast response times, and carry out capacity planning.
Map out the conceptual design for a planned database.
Commission and install new applications, customize existing ones, and consider both data organization and user accessibility.
Refine the logical design for specific data modeling and install and test new DBMS versions.
Maintain data standards, including data protection act compliance, and write database documentation.
Develop, manage, and test backup and recovery plans while managing database security and disaster recovery aspects.
Communicate regularly with technical, operational staff, and collaborate with IT project managers, database programmers, and multimedia programmers.
