We are hiring an IT Assistant for one of our esteemed clients in G-5, Islamabad. The IT Assistant will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and infrastructure, providing technical support to staff, and assisting with troubleshooting and maintenance tasks. Reporting to senior IT personnel, the role involves handling hardware and software issues, supporting network operations, and ensuring seamless IT services within the organization.

This position is ideal for a tech-savvy professional with strong problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of IT support in a professional or corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support for desktop/laptop computers, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of IT systems, networks, and related hardware/software.
  • Install, configure, and update operating systems and applications as per organizational standards.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control in line with IT security protocols.
  • Monitor network performance and coordinate with IT teams to ensure reliable connectivity.
  • Provide technical assistance for remote meetings, videoconferencing, and webinars.
  • Perform routine system maintenance, backups, and updates to enhance security and efficiency.
  • Maintain IT support logs, document troubleshooting steps, and create user guides when needed.
  • Assist in managing IT inventory and coordinate with vendors for hardware/software procurement and repairs.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and recommend improvements in IT operations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of IT support experience, preferably in a corporate or international organization.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, as well as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Experience with network management, routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Knowledge of remote support tools and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
