Program Background Summary: The USAID-funded Pakistan Reading Project (PRP), is being implemented by the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and its partners (Creative Associates International, World Learning, and Institute of Rural Management). This is a seven-year project that is supporting the provincial and regional departments of education in Pakistan to improve the quality of education with a focus on improving the reading skills of over 1.3 million children in grades one and two. PRP works to achieve this goal through three key objectives: teacher training, policy reform, and community support for reading. In addition to children, PRP’s activities are designed to reach out to over 23,800 teachers in public schools and 110 teacher education institutions across 69 districts of the country.
Major Responsibilities:
Specific Responsibilities
· Maintain & Update personnel files.
· Work with the HR Senior HR officer on ensuring that all personnel files are complete in line with the personnel file checklist.
· Update the personnel file tracker on bimonthly basis.
· Work with the recruitment team to resolve compliance observations.
· Support Recruitment & Selection team in updating relevant trackers.
· In case of any missing documents assist Senior HR officer to follow up with the staff member to ensure that all documents are complete.
· Assist the recruitment team in completing recruitment procedures including Sourcing, scheduling interviews, reference checks.
· Work with the Senior HR officer in filing backlog documents in the respective personnel files.
· Prepare and maintain personnel files for Assessments Consultants (Enumerators/Classroom Observers).
· Update tracker for Consultants and Interns.
· Assisting C&B team in extracting relevant documents from Personnel files for final settlement.
· Sequencing and filing of monthly time sheets.
· Perform other duties, as and when requested.

Education:
· Fresh Graduate in Human Resource Management, Business Administration.
Work Experiences:
· Interest in human resource is preferred,
Demonstrated Skills:
· Proven ability to organize priorities and work under administrative and programmatic pressures with detail orientation and professional grace.
· Diplomatic and strong acumen in establishing positive working relationships with employees and all other stakeholders to maximize cooperation and productivity
· Proven sense of professional discretion, integrity, and ability to manage situations diplomatically and to effective resolution
Language and Computer Skills:
· Written and spoken fluency in Urdu & English required
· Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is desired.
The USAID-funded Pakistan Reading Project, implemented by the International Rescue Committee and its partners (Creative Associates International, World Learning, and Institute of Rural Management), is a seven-year project (2013-2020) with the objective to support the provincial and regional departments of education throughout Pakistan to improve reading skills of 1.3 million children in grades one and two. The project will achieve this goal through three distinct but interrelated components that will work in synergy to affect the quality of early grade education: Improved classroom learning environment for reading, Improved policies and systems for reading, and Improved community based support for reading in Pakistan.
