Program Background Summary:  The USAID-funded Pakistan Reading Project (PRP), implemented by the International Rescue Committee and its partners, Creative Associates International, World Learning, and Institute of Rural Management, is working with the objective to support the provincial and regional departments of education throughout Pakistan to improve the reading skills of children in grades one and two. The project aims to achieve this goal through three distinct but interrelated components that work in synergy to affect the quality of early grade education: improved classroom learning environment for reading, improved policies and systems for reading, and community based support for reading in Pakistan.

The individual ought to have the capacity to perform the subsequent assignments:

  • Tagging the tablets with inventory numbers.
  • Maintaining the inventory list of tablets on Microsoft Excel with inventory numbers and/or Serial numbers.
  • Check the tablets for any hardware or software malfunction.
  • Configuring the tablets with given .apk files.
  • Branding the tablets with logos.
  • Support IT Manager in configuration of IT equipment including Laptops/ Netbooks, printer scanner etc.
  • Reports equipment malfunctions to regional IT Manager and the supervisor.
  • Support IT Manager on day to day IT related task as assigned by the Manager.
  • Education: Graduate, Diploma in Computer Sciences, IT/Telecommunication. ICT related field or IT related field.

·         Work Experience:  Entry Level

Language Skills:  Written and spoken fluency in English & Urdu required

Desirable Knowledge:

    • Computer software applications such as data management, spreadsheets, and word processing.
    • Basic techniques used to troubleshoot routine tablet application and common computer hardware.
    • Customer service approach to solve ICT related issues.
    • Record keeping procedures.
