Program Background:
The USAID-funded Pakistan Reading Project (PRP), implemented by the International Rescue Committee and its partners, Creative Associates International, World Learning, and Institute of Rural Management, is working with the objective to support the provincial and regional departments of education throughout Pakistan to improve the reading skills of children in grades one and two. The project aims to achieve this goal through three distinct but interrelated components that work in synergy to affect the quality of early grade education: improved classroom learning environment for reading, improved policies and systems for reading, and community based support for reading in Pakistan.
Job Overview/Summary
Under the supervision of Technical Director Supplementary Resource Development, the program officer will assist the program team located in Islamabad central office.
Major Responsibilities:
· Organize and manage material/resource filing and record-keeping
· Translating different teaching learning material in to Urdu and English
· Keeping up-to-date materials DATA in hard and soft form
· Support team in organizing events at national level, like generating EMRs/PRs, sending invitations, arranging material, taking minutes/notes during events, taking M&E tools from participants etc.,
· Work closely with other sections such operations, finance, supply chain, HR etc., for the implementation of program activities smoothly
· Coordinate with provinces/regions for routine correspondence related to program activities
· Compile monthly/quarterly/annual reports received from different provinces/ regions and sections
· Provide and manage relevant evidences in line with M&E requirement for different activities
Education:
Minimum Bachelor degree in social sciences
Work Experience:
The applicant must have at least 03-year experience (preferably with USAID funded projects) with demonstrated ability to:

Language Skills:
Coordinate and communicate both verbal and written in Urdu and English, working ability in Pushto, Sindhi and other regional languages will be an asset
Certificates or Licenses:
Use computer e.g. Word, Excel, Access, Power point, Urdu typing, drop box, One Drive, inter/intranet etc.
