Pakistani Chef

We are seeking a skilled Pakistani Chef to join our team in Rawalpindi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking dishes according to the menu and established recipes, ensuring high standards of food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control. This role requires maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment while adhering to food safety regulations. The chef will also manage stock levels, minimize food waste, and collaborate closely with kitchen and restaurant staff to ensure timely service. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to properly use and maintain kitchen equipment and assist in training junior kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook food in line with menu specifications and standard recipes.
- Ensure consistent food quality, taste, presentation, and appropriate portion sizes.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and adhere to food safety standards within the kitchen.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement measures to reduce food wastage.
- Coordinate effectively with kitchen and restaurant teams to ensure smooth and timely service.
- Use and maintain kitchen equipment properly to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Follow all restaurant policies, health, and safety procedures diligently.
- Support and train junior kitchen staff to enhance team performance.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience working as a chef in a restaurant environment.
- Experience handling the demands of a busy kitchen setting.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Understanding of food presentation standards and portion control.
- Ability to perform efficiently under pressure, especially during peak hours.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills.

Compensation and Work Location

This position offers a monthly salary ranging from Rs19,000 to Rs95,000, commensurate with experience and skills. The role requires working on-site in Rawalpindi.
