Kestrel Education is seeking articulate and versatile Part-Time Counsellors to join our expanding team. This role is ideal for professionals with a background in Law (LLB/LLM) or Journalism/Mass Communication who demonstrate exceptional language skills, structural clarity, and a strong sense of narrative architecture. You will collaborate closely with mentoring and advisory teams to develop compelling academic profiles, application essays, institutional content, and thought-leadership pieces that resonate on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities
- Narrative Development: Assist students in shaping their personal stories, achievements, and aspirations into powerful and engaging application essays and statements of purpose.
- Content Creation: Conduct research, draft, and refine educational articles, program briefs, and editorial pieces that uphold Kestrel’s high standards.
- Editing & Proofreading: Review drafts meticulously for clarity, tone, flow, logical consistency, and grammatical accuracy.
- Collaborative Strategy: Work alongside mentors to ensure all written materials authentically represent the client’s unique voice and profile strategy.

Required Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Journalism, English Literature, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience: 2 to 3 years of professional experience in writing, journalism, content creation, or legal drafting.
- Skills:
- Impeccable command of English grammar, syntax, and vocabulary.
- Strong ability to distill complex ideas into clear, persuasive, and evocative narratives without reliance on AI.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strict adherence to deadlines.
- Capability to research university programs and other relevant data to support essay writing.
- Must have an LLB/LLM or a creative writing background. Candidates must produce error-free writing without the use of AI or plagiarism and be adept at writing in various styles and on diverse topics.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information
- Familiarity with global university admissions processes or reflective writing frameworks is highly desirable.
- Candidates will be required to submit a writing sample as part of the selection process. Original work is mandatory; any plagiarism or use of AI-generated content is strictly prohibited.
- Work Location: This is an in-person role.

Applicants will be asked to demonstrate their familiarity with global university admissions processes or reflective writing frameworks, confirm their ability to produce error-free writing without AI or plagiarism, and share their experience in professional writing, journalism, content creation, or legal drafting.

This opportunity offers a chance to contribute meaningfully to students’ academic journeys by crafting narratives that stand out in competitive global admissions landscapes. If you meet the qualifications and are passionate about storytelling and education, we encourage you to apply.
