Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Collaborate with Construction Manager and experts at site to ensure environmental and H&S compliance.
  • Ensure Health and safety and environmental compliance at work site in accordance to the Environment Management Plan.
  • Perform quality control checks in accordance to the Environmental Management Plan to ensure environment management/ dust suppression, traffic management during construction activities.
  • To inspect processes and work execution to ensure good environment management and H&S practices
  • Conducting routine site visits to ensure compliance to Environmental Risk Management Plan.
  • Maintaining, expanding and sharing daily inspection reports.
  • Locating source of non-compliance and compiling a check list of steps to take to fix issues.
  • Monitoring the processing and disposal of waste to ensure it follows regulations.
  • Verifying the correct storage and handling of hazardous chemicals, radioactive materials, toxic substances and other potentially dangerous goods.
  • Inform individuals and construction teams of pollution control regulations and inspection findings, and explain how problems can be corrected.
  • Inspect waste pretreatment, treatment, and disposal facilities and systems for conformance to federal, state, or local regulations.
  • Investigate complaints and suspected violations regarding illegal dumping, pollution, pesticides, product quality, or labeling laws.
  • Research and keep informed of pertinent information and developments in areas such as EPA laws and regulations
  • Supervise environment monitoring tests during work execution as per Environment Mgmt. Plan.
  • Provide trainings and educational support to the project’s employees at induction and during the course of the project.
