We are seeking an experienced Upwork Business Development Specialist to generate consistent client opportunities and secure projects for our animation studio. Our studio focuses on creating SaaS explainer videos, software product demos, UI animations, motion graphics, and promotional videos tailored for startups, SaaS companies, and businesses. With an established portfolio and experience working with international clients, we now aim to expand our presence on Upwork by partnering with a professional who can identify relevant opportunities and convert them into paying clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify suitable Upwork projects aligned with our animation and video production services.
- Craft personalized, high-quality proposals tailored to the specific needs of each client.
- Target projects with strong budgets and high potential for successful conversion.
- Enhance our Upwork profile positioning and refine proposal strategies to improve win rates.
- Analyze competitors, successful freelancer profiles, and effective proposal techniques to stay competitive.
- Maintain professional communication with potential clients, including timely follow-ups.
- Track all submitted proposals, client responses, interviews, and projects won to monitor progress.
- Prioritize quality over quantity by focusing on winning valuable projects rather than sending mass proposals.
Required Qualifications
- Proven track record of finding clients and winning projects on Upwork.
- Strong skills in proposal writing and client communication.
- Good understanding of Upwork’s bidding system, profile optimization, and client acquisition strategies.
- Ability to identify appropriate projects and develop effective strategies to secure them.
- Demonstrated results or case studies showcasing successful client acquisition on Upwork.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience in animation, motion graphics, video production, SaaS, or creative agency services is highly desirable.
- Compensation is flexible and open for discussion, including fixed part-time payment, performance-based incentives, or a combination of both, depending on experience and proposed strategy.
