Pashto Translator

We are seeking a skilled translator and interpreter proficient in Pashto, English, and Urdu to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately translating a variety of documents and materials, ensuring linguistic and cultural appropriateness. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent language skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards. The position is based on-site and offers a competitive monthly salary starting from Rs50,000.

Key Responsibilities

Translation & Localization: Accurately translate diverse documents, reports, emails, audio/video transcripts, and promotional materials between Pashto, English, and Urdu. Ensure translations are precise and contextually relevant.

Editing & Proofreading: Review translated texts to enhance clarity, grammatical accuracy, and consistency, paying close attention to industry-specific terminology.

Interpretation: Provide consecutive or simultaneous interpretation during meetings, interviews, or conferences as needed, facilitating clear communication between parties.

Cultural Adaptation: Adapt translations to be culturally sensitive and appropriate, ensuring they resonate effectively with the target audience.

Terminology Management: Maintain and update glossaries and translation memory databases to guarantee consistency across ongoing and recurring projects.

Quality Assurance: Deliver work within strict deadlines while upholding accuracy, confidentiality, and meticulous attention to detail.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation Studies, English, Pashto, or a related discipline. Certified translation credentials or diplomas are highly advantageous.

Experience: A minimum of 1 to 3 years of professional experience in translation or interpretation.
