Location: Lahore
The Payroll Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting U.S. and Canada payroll operations for The Children's Place. This position involves running payroll processing jobs, auditing payroll data, supporting internal payroll procedures, managing payroll tax activities, and performing account reconciliations. The analyst will ensure accurate and timely payroll runs while maintaining compliance with tax regulations and assisting with various payroll-related projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute biweekly and off-cycle payroll processing for U.S. and Canadian payrolls, including validation steps to guarantee accuracy and successful completion. This includes payroll settlement and managing post-payroll third-party interface jobs.
- Enter payroll inputs such as earnings, deductions, benefits, and garnishments, and handle net pay processing tasks like stop payments, ACH returns, and replacement checks.
- Review and audit tax and wage variances identified by tax vendors, collaborating with account representatives to resolve discrepancies. Determine if amended returns or payroll history corrections are necessary.
- Manage all tax correspondence by responding directly or forwarding notices to tax vendors for resolution.
- Complete multiple worksite reporting requirements.
- Conduct ongoing audits to verify the accuracy of employee taxable wages and withholdings on quarterly returns and annual W-2 reporting; process W-2 corrections as needed.
- Support the Payroll Manager by compiling information for internal and external payroll tax audits.
- Assist with payroll system configuration and upgrade testing.
- Prepare, review, and approve manual checks to ensure payment accuracy.
- Handle payroll history adjustments, gross-ups, file uploads, and related tasks.
- Collaborate with Payroll Management on year-end processes and special projects.
- Process payroll tax adjustments related to restricted stock and non-qualified stock transactions.
- Perform weekly audits of UKG/Kronos timecards.
- Respond to associate payroll inquiries through the HR ticketing system.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 1-3 years of experience working with in-house HR/Payroll software applications, preferably Workday.
- Experience in a high-volume, multi-state (U.S.) and multi-province (Canada) payroll environment with multiple FEIN tax structures.
- Strong understanding of all components involved in gross-to-net payroll processing.
- Extensive knowledge of U.S. payroll tax compliance laws.
- Proficient organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of UKG/Kronos timekeeping systems.
- Familiarity with BSI e-Forms.
