A non for profit organization engaged in support of vulnerable communities through its programmes for Orphan kind, Thirst Relief, Emergency Response, Healthcare and Feed Our World in various areas all over the country. Organization requires services of “Child psychologist”, duties of that position could be as under but not limited to these:

Counselling

1.      Work with children and their primary caregivers in order to research, assess, and possibly treat developmental issues;

2.      Meeting with children and their family members to observe and diagnose concerns about a child’s mental or emotional state;

3.      Administer personality and psychological examination such as in-depth interviews, personality tests, IQ tests etc to evaluate information, diagnose followed by treatment for the child;

4.      Use a multidisciplinary approach and work within the context of the child's life, for example, the family or school;

5.      Help children and adolescents dealing with social problems like bullying, substance abuse or high-risk sexual behaviors by providing education and counseling where required;

6.      Help children and adolescents/youth dealing with family-related issues, such loss, illness or divorce;

7.      Collaborating with parents, teachers, foster mothers or other clinicians involved in a case to implement child psychology treatment plans;

8.      Treat learning delays or psychological disorders such as depression, anxiety or quarrelsome behavior etc;

9.      Researching disorders common among children and adolescents/youth, and devising new treatment strategies by helping children understand consequences of disorders and avoiding bad habits;

10.  Responsible for facilitating and overseeing group therapy sessions with children;

11.  To provide counseling to parents regarding appropriate intervention techniques for use with the child who develop problems within the home.

Working on Child Safe Environment

12.  To create an environment that is supportive of learning and safe for children;

13.  Prepare a complete follow up of  children with psychological issues and ensure confidentiality;

Others

14.  Preparing complete profile of the children and maintaining case studies;

15.  Reporting of all the cases to concerned Manager.

Travel Requirement:

Job requires 50% travel approximately to carry out assigned responsibilities within the coverage area (Sohawa, Muzaffarabad, Khanewal, Azad Kashmir-Chakswari). Must be willing and able to travel.

 Required Skills:

1.      Must always deal with children carefully and handle them with "kid gloves".

2.      Should be compassionate, understanding, and patient when dealing with children.

3.      Should have good communication and analytical skills.

4.      Must be trustworthy and kind in a way that makes child feel at ease and safe.
