We are an international e-commerce company specializing in designing and selling consumer products across multiple brands and sales channels. Our lean and agile team spans sourcing, supply chain, marketing, and finance, with a strong focus on data and automation. As we grow, we are committed to fostering an environment where every team member has clear goals, honest feedback, and a visible path for career advancement, supported by a culture of high standards.
In this role, you will partner directly with the founder to lead two critical areas: people growth and accountability, and company operations. Approximately 60% of your time will focus on developing and managing KPIs, 1:1 and appraisal cycles, career progression frameworks, and cultivating a strong company culture. The remaining 40% will involve overseeing company priorities, facilitating the weekly leadership meeting, and ensuring cross-team commitments are met without delays. This is a hands-on, builder role within a small, fast-moving company, requiring close collaboration with all team leads.
Key Responsibilities
People Management (60%)
- Develop clear, measurable goals and scorecards for every role in collaboration with team leads, maintaining visibility through existing data systems.
- Establish and manage a consistent people rhythm, including weekly 1:1 meetings, monthly scorecard reviews, and quarterly growth discussions, ensuring timely follow-up.
- Define role levels and career paths, ensuring every employee has a documented development plan aligned with promotion criteria.
- Implement a fair and transparent accountability process for missed goals, including early feedback, improvement plans, and exit procedures when necessary. Provide coaching to managers for conducting difficult conversations effectively.
- Translate company values into actionable behaviors, lead recognition programs, team rituals, quarterly engagement surveys, and onboarding processes that reinforce company culture.
- Support hiring by designing role scorecards, structuring interviews, creating practical assessments, and developing 30/60/90-day onboarding plans.
Operations Management (40%)
- Maintain a live, prioritized list of company goals with clear owners, deadlines, and status updates, ensuring alignment with actual work.
- Facilitate the weekly leadership meeting, managing agendas, decision logs, and action items with assigned owners and deadlines.
- Drive cross-team collaboration by tracking commitments across departments and escalating blockers promptly.
- Increase founder leverage by handling recurring coordination tasks, preparing decision materials, and ensuring execution of decisions.
- Identify recurring operational issues, implement process improvements, and document changes to ensure lasting solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years designing and implementing KPI, appraisal, or OKR systems in startups or companies with 20-150 employees.
- Demonstrated ability to design and launch performance management systems with measurable impact.
- Proven operations experience managing leadership meetings, priority tracking, or PMO-style cadences.
- Strong data skills, including building KPI dashboards using Google Sheets or Excel to inform decision-making.
- Ability to provide direct, fair, and timely feedback to managers and peers.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with experience working in international teams.
- Bachelor’s degree required; degrees from top institutions and an MBA in HR, Operations, or General Management are highly preferred. Practical experience in building performance systems is prioritized over credentials.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience in e-commerce, consumer products, or fast-growing tech/export companies.
- Background in coaching or manager training.
- Familiarity with ClickUp or similar task management tools and Google Workspace.
- Competitive monthly compensation ranging from PKR 450,000 to 650,000, plus a performance bonus up to 15% based on key success metrics.
- Fully remote position, open to candidates anywhere in Pakistan.
This role is not suited for candidates focused primarily on HR administration, recruitment without performance ownership, executive assistance, facilities management, or freelance e-commerce tasks. You will empower managers and the founder by building fair, consistent systems and coaching leadership to use them effectively.
The hiring process includes an online assessment, phone screen, a take-home assignment drafting KPIs and 1:1 templates, followed by a final interview reviewing your work.
