Performance Test Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Performance Test Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products through a combination of automated, manual, and performance testing. This role involves creating and maintaining automated test scripts, conducting thorough performance and load testing, executing regression tests, and identifying system bottlenecks. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver stable, high-quality web and mobile applications that meet business requirements and user expectations.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for both web and mobile applications to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Execute automated and manual test cases to validate software functionality and quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Plan, design, and perform performance, load, stress, and scalability testing to evaluate system behavior under various conditions.
- Analyze application performance data to identify bottlenecks and provide actionable recommendations for optimization.
- Develop and maintain detailed performance test scripts and realistic test scenarios aligned with business needs.
- Monitor system performance metrics such as response time, throughput, CPU usage, memory consumption, and resource utilization to assess stability and efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, and QA teams to troubleshoot and resolve both functional and performance-related issues.
- Participate in requirement analysis sessions, offering insights on testability, automation potential, and performance considerations.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure product stability and quality across multiple releases.
- Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools to facilitate timely resolution.
- Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, performance test scenarios, and detailed test reports.
- Integrate automated and performance testing processes into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and delivery.
- Continuously enhance automation frameworks, performance testing methodologies, and overall QA processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in QA automation and performance testing.
- Proficient with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, or JUnit.
- Hands-on experience with performance testing tools including JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or k6.
- Strong programming or scripting skills in at least one language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Experience in API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Solid understanding of performance testing concepts including workload modeling, load testing, stress testing, and performance analysis.
- Good knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
