Pest Share is looking for a talented UI and UX designer to ensure that our product is user friendly, engaging, and accomplishes it core functionality with ease. We are looking for a bright, fun, dedicated individual who excels in a hands-on environment by being a self-starter and self-manager.
This position will work closely with our CTO and other directors to ensure that the product is moving in the right direction. Ideally, the perfect candidate for this position will know how to ask certain questions to help inexperienced directors think through the design process and successfully explain everything they need to make their team and departments more efficient, thorough, and engaged.
For design software, we prefer to use XD but can also use other platforms such as Figma.
Responsibilities
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps
- Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets
- Build page navigation buttons and search fields
- Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
- Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
- Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
- Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images
- Analyze user reporting tools such as Mixpanel, Hotjar, and Google Analytics to understand user behavior better and incorporate it into design improvements.
