Key Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring prescriptions are reviewed for clinical appropriateness.
- Provide clear and comprehensive counseling to patients regarding medication use, potential side effects, and proper storage.
- Maintain pharmaceutical inventory, monitor expiry dates, and ensure safe storage to prevent stockouts and wastage.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize pharmacotherapy and support medication safety initiatives.
- Participate actively in clinical audits, quality improvement activities, and adherence to hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with all relevant guidelines and protocols.
- Contribute to the training and development of pharmacy students and junior staff members as needed.

Required Qualifications
- Professional pharmacy qualification such as Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Valid license or registration with the relevant regulatory authority.
- Strong clinical pharmacy knowledge, including pharmacology, drug interactions, dosage calculations, and evidence-based medication use.
- Proven competence in medication dispensing, prescription review, and patient counseling with high attention to accuracy and safety.
- Experience in hospital pharmacy operations, including inventory management and handling of controlled substances, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, communicate clearly with patients and colleagues, and manage workload efficiently.
- Familiarity with electronic health records or pharmacy information systems and basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
