PHP Developer

Esco Logics is looking for a skilled PHP Developer to join our team at the Karachi office. The role involves both front-end and back-end development, focusing on WordPress customization (themes and plugins) and Laravel application development. You will integrate AI-driven coding tools into your workflow and maintain direct communication with clients to manage daily tasks and project updates. A strong grasp of object-oriented programming, database management, and writing clean, professional code is essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the development team to design and implement web applications using PHP, WordPress, and Laravel.
- Customize WordPress themes and plugins to fulfill project requirements.
- Develop and maintain Laravel-based web applications.
- Utilize AI-driven coding tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor to accelerate development, ensuring all AI-generated code is thoroughly reviewed for quality, security, and accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding daily tasks, progress updates, and requirement clarifications.
- Ensure web applications are secure, performant, and scalable.
- Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code following industry best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and technical issues promptly.
- Perform database design, optimization, and maintenance activities.
- Work closely with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously enhance development processes.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience with Laravel, WordPress, SQL, and object-oriented programming (OOP).
- Strong ability to write clean, maintainable code and customize WordPress themes and plugins.
- Hands-on experience using AI-driven coding tools and prompt-based development workflows.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional web development experience.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in direct client interaction.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Confidence in managing client communications and providing regular updates.
- A passion for learning and staying current with emerging technologies.
