Authorization Specialist (Medical Billing)

We are currently seeking an Authorization specialist to join our team. As an Authorization specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all necessary approvals and authorizations are obtained for various processes and activities within the organization.

Responsibilities:

Review and analyze authorization requests, ensuring they are complete and comply with relevant policies and regulations.
Verify the accuracy and authenticity of documents and information provided for authorization purposes.
Collaborate with internal departments and stakeholders to gather additional information or clarify requirements related to authorization requests.
Maintain accurate records of authorization processes and ensure proper documentation is filed and archived.
Monitor and track the status of authorization requests, following up as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
Assist in training and mentoring new team members on authorization processes and protocols.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience in authorization processes or a related field is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze and interpret complex information.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
