Piping Draftsman / Sr. Piping Draftsman / Designer

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Piping Draftsman/Designer with 5 to 20 years of expertise in designing and drafting piping systems for industrial or infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software, have a solid understanding of piping codes and standards, and be capable of independently producing piping layouts, isometric drawings, and bills of materials. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Lahore, Pakistan.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed piping layout drawings, isometric drawings, and pipe support drawings using software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Bluebeam.
- Update engineering drawings in accordance with the latest revision and modification updates (RLMU).
- Generate material take-offs (MTOs) and assist with procurement documentation.
- Coordinate closely with mechanical, civil, electrical, and process teams to ensure design alignment and avoid clashes.
- Interpret engineering specifications, piping material specifications (PMS), and vendor drawings accurately.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry codes and standards, including ASME, ANSI, and API.
- Implement design changes and revisions based on project requirements and mark-ups.
- Maintain proper documentation and revision control following company standards and QA/QC procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure design accuracy and consistency.
- Develop and maintain piping drawing templates and standards.
- Review and verify drawings for completeness and accuracy.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) or certification in drafting.
- 5 to 20 years of experience in piping drafting and designing.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other 2D/3D design tools.
- Familiarity with MS Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards such as ASME and API.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to interpret piping specifications, P&IDs, and other engineering documents.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% as required by the project.
- Ability to work on-site in Lahore, Pakistan.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information

- Middle school education is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in maintaining and updating piping drawing templates and standards is advantageous.
- This role requires a candidate who can work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
