Pixel Artist Aseprite

Artvista is looking for a skilled Pixel Artist based in Pakistan to join their team on-site in Karachi. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Aseprite and a solid grasp of pixel-art fundamentals, capable of producing clean, game-ready assets without relying on filters or resizing traditional artwork. This role demands a professional approach to pixel art creation, adherence to art direction, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team while meeting project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
- Create original pixel art assets using Aseprite, including characters, sprites, environments, props, tilesets, icons, and other game elements.
- Develop and edit frame-by-frame pixel animations as required.
- Ensure consistency in pixel size, proportions, color palettes, and overall visual style across all assets.
- Accurately follow reference materials, briefs, and art direction to fulfill project needs.
- Prepare well-organized Aseprite PNG sprite sheets and source files for seamless integration.
- Manage revisions professionally and deliver work on time.
- Collaborate effectively with internal art and development teams to align with project goals.

Required Qualifications
- Must be based in Pakistan and able to work on-site in Karachi.
- Proficient in Aseprite software with a strong understanding of pixel-art workflow.
- Deep knowledge of pixel-art fundamentals such as silhouettes, readability, clusters, palettes, anti-aliasing, and clean edges.
- Ability to create pixel-art assets from scratch using authentic pixel-art techniques.
- Experience with sprites, tilesets, character animation, or other game-related assets is preferred.
- A portfolio showcasing genuine pixel-art work created specifically in Aseprite or a similar pixel-art tool is mandatory. Submissions including general illustrations, AI-generated images, or filtered/downscaled artwork will not be considered.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed briefs accurately.
- Dependable with a consistent track record of meeting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience working on game development projects or within a game development team is a plus.
- Competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs20,000 to Rs50,000, commensurate with experience and skill level.
