Planning Engineer

SMEC is seeking a motivated Planning Engineer to join a key hydropower project based in Peshawar. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project planning, scheduling, and management while contributing to the successful delivery of a significant infrastructure initiative. As part of a dynamic team, you will work alongside experienced professionals and leadership, playing a vital role in shaping project outcomes through innovative thinking and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, monitor, and update project schedules using advanced planning tools.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure project timelines align with execution plans.
- Analyze project progress, identify delays, and recommend corrective actions to meet deadlines.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on schedule performance for stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards in all planning and scheduling activities.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth project execution.

Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline, such as a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in planning and scheduling for large-scale infrastructure or hydropower projects.
- Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
