Platform Engineer

As a Platform Engineer within our Wealth Team, you will play a critical role in delivering and managing cloud-based investment applications. Your expertise will ensure these applications operate with the highest standards of resilience, availability, and scalability, bridging the gap between software development and operations to provide an exceptional experience for banking customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the availability and reliability of the managed hosting services provided to customers.
- Maintain compliance, security, and cost-effectiveness of the deployed solutions at all times.
- Participate actively in the on-call rotation to maximize system reliability, uptime, and high availability.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues specifically within the Wealth domain, focusing on resilience and scalability.
- Drive operational efficiency initiatives and contribute to managing and optimizing overall cloud costs.

Required Qualifications
- Proficiency with tools and technologies such as Helm Charts, Kubernetes, Istio, ArgoCD, and GitHub/GitHub Actions.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools, particularly the Grafana stack and OpenTelemetry (OTEL), is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure security, cloud-native technologies, and desired state configuration management.
- Strong communication skills to effectively lead initiatives and collaborate across teams and departments.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in system engineering, including at least 3 years working with the specified technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to combine technical expertise with mentorship, providing hands-on guidance and fostering collaborative problem-solving.
- A strong automation-first mindset, aiming to eliminate manual processes by making workflows predictable and automated.
- Proven knowledge in designing and implementing scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure.
- Good command of English for effective collaboration with international teams.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills
- Experience with the Python technology stack is considered a plus.
