Platform Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Platform Engineer to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This role involves supporting the installation, configuration, integration, and operational management of a modern on-premises data platform. The successful candidate will focus on infrastructure setup, platform administration, security integration, environment management, and ensuring platform reliability across Development, QA, and Production environments. Experience with deploying enterprise data platforms in secure settings, along with strong troubleshooting and operational support skills, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, and administer data platform components within an on-premises environment.
- Deploy and manage MinIO Object Storage and Apache Iceberg-based data lakehouse architecture.
- Install, configure, and optimize Starburst and/or Dremio platforms for data virtualization and querying.
- Deploy, administer, and support Apache Spark clusters and processing services.
- Install, configure, and manage Informatica components, ensuring seamless integration with the platform ecosystem.
- Configure and maintain Development, QA, and Production environments.
- Integrate platform components with enterprise security services, including Identity & Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Active Directory/LDAP, Single Sign-On (SSO), and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Implement and support Git-based DevOps and CI/CD practices.
- Manage monitoring, logging, backup, disaster recovery, and operational readiness processes.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to maintain platform stability, availability, and performance.
- Troubleshoot deployment, configuration, integration, and connectivity issues across the platform stack.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in MinIO administration.
- Strong knowledge of Apache Iceberg.
- Administration skills for Starburst and/or Dremio platforms.
- Experience managing Apache Spark clusters.
- Proficiency in Informatica administration.
- Solid Linux system administration skills.
- Familiarity with VMware infrastructure.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and/or Kubernetes.
- Proficient in Git and CI/CD integration.
- Expertise in IAM and PAM integration.
- Strong infrastructure troubleshooting and operational support capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills

- Understanding of data lakehouse architecture.
- Knowledge of enterprise security architecture.
- Experience with performance tuning and capacity planning.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.
- Skills in infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience working in highly secured enterprise environments.
- Ability to implement disaster recovery and backup strategies.
