We are seeking a hands-on Data Platform Engineer with strong expertise in the installation, configuration, administration, and support of data platform components within on-premises environments. The role involves managing platform deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational activities across Development, QA, and Production environments. Candidates should have experience working with VMware-based infrastructure, Git integration, and enterprise security solutions such as IAM and PAM. A solid understanding of infrastructure, networking, storage, security, and container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is essential to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, deploy, and maintain data platform components in on-premises environments.
- Perform daily data platform administration, including monitoring, maintenance, upgrades, and operational support.
- Deploy and support data platform components running on VMware-based infrastructure.
- Integrate platform configurations and deployment processes with Git-based version control.
- Implement enterprise security integrations involving IAM and PAM for the data platform.
- Support platform deployment and operations across Development, QA, and Production environments.
- Monitor platform availability, performance, capacity, resource utilization, and overall health.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to platform, infrastructure, deployment, configuration, storage, network, and integrations.
- Support containerized platform components using Docker and/or Kubernetes where applicable.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering, Infrastructure, DevOps, Security, Network, and Application teams to ensure a stable, secure, and highly available data platform.

Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in Data Platform Engineering, infrastructure, or platform administration.
- Proven hands-on experience with installation and configuration of data platform components in on-premises environments.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in platform administration.
- Experience working with VMware-based infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience integrating platforms and deployment/configuration processes with Git.
- Familiarity with enterprise security integrations, specifically IAM and PAM.
- Solid understanding of platform deployment, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting Development, QA, and Production environments.
- Good knowledge of infrastructure, networking, storage, backup/recovery, and security concepts relevant to enterprise data platforms.
- Exposure to container technologies such as Docker and/or Kubernetes for platform deployments.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MinIO and Apache Iceberg.
- Familiarity with Starburst or Dremio platforms.
- Experience working with Apache Spark.
- Knowledge of Informatica tools.
- Understanding of modern Data Lake and Data Lakehouse architectures.
