Platform Manager

Apex Group, a Lahore-based real estate company dedicated to developing happy places, is seeking an experienced Platform Manager to lead its flagship proptech platform, EstateX. This role offers a unique opportunity to oversee the platform end-to-end, combining product management, technology leadership, and business operations. The Platform Manager will be responsible for driving the platform’s architecture, delivery, and growth, managing a diverse team, and ensuring EstateX becomes Pakistan’s most trusted destination for property discovery and transactions. This is an on-site position based in Lahore, reporting directly to the Founder & CEO.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Strategy & Roadmap:
Own and execute the EstateX product roadmap, aligning it with Apex Group’s revenue goals and key milestones. Define the platform architecture and technology stack in collaboration with engineering, ensuring scalability. Translate business needs from sales, marketing, legal, and finance into actionable product features and technical specifications. Manage feature prioritization using agile and sprint methodologies.

Engineering & Product Team Leadership:
Lead a cross-functional team including senior software engineers, product managers, UI/UX designers, data leads, and platform operations staff. Conduct bi-weekly sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Recruit and onboard new hires for Year 2 growth, fostering a culture focused on accountability and delivery excellence.

Go-Live Execution & Launch Management:
Drive all pre-launch activities to ensure timely, quality delivery within budget. Coordinate with Sales & Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Compliance teams for a smooth platform launch. Oversee onboarding of 500 third-party property listings and over 2,000 verified users in the first quarter post-launch. Manage user acceptance testing, quality assurance, security audits, and regulatory compliance certifications.

Platform Operations & Reliability:
Maintain platform uptime of 99.5% or higher post-launch, with clear incident response and escalation protocols. Own the service level agreements (SLAs) for integrations including payment gateways, CRM, and third-party APIs. Implement monitoring, alerting, and disaster recovery procedures. Manage priority bug triage, ensuring critical issues (P1) are resolved within 24 hours.

Developer Partnerships & Ecosystem:
Build and nurture relationships with developer partners, community managers, and compliance teams. Manage the API partner ecosystem to support third-party integrations. Oversee freelancer and vendor engagements, ensuring deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations.

Budget & Cost Management:
Manage the platform technology budget, including vendor contracts, SaaS tools, cloud infrastructure, and freelance resources. Monitor monthly spend against budget, maintaining variance within 5%. Provide regular financial reporting to the CEO and Finance Manager.

Compliance, Security & Data Governance:
Ensure full compliance with Pakistani digital and data regulations. Oversee KYC, AML, and property verification workflows integrated into the platform. Enforce strict data governance standards with zero tolerance for breaches. Collaborate with the Legal team on regulatory filings and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in product management, platform management, or software project delivery.
- Proven success in launching and operating digital products or platforms at scale.
- Strong expertise in agile/scrum methodologies including sprint planning and backlog management.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams across engineering, product, QA, and design.
- Technical fluency to engage with architecture, APIs, and system design (non-coding role).
- Excellent stakeholder management skills bridging business, technology, and leadership.
- Experience managing budgets and vendor contracts.

Preferred Qualifications

- Background in proptech, real estate technology, fintech, or marketplace platforms.
- Familiarity with Pakistan’s real estate regulatory environment and digital compliance.
- Exposure to data analytics, business intelligence reporting, and product analytics tools.
- Experience scaling a product from inception to launch in a high-growth startup setting.
