Plc Application Engineer

As a PLC Programmer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing PLC and HMI programs for automation equipment and machinery. This role involves installing these programs on-site, supporting clients during machine testing, and ensuring successful completion of equipment trials within designated deadlines. A strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and fault-finding principles is essential to effectively meet client requirements and deliver optimal automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with clients to understand their automation needs and translate these into effective program designs.
- Develop PLC and HMI programs based on client workflows and input specifications.
- Install and commission PLC and HMI programs on-site, ensuring proper functionality.
- Conduct on-field testing of developed programs and troubleshoot any system faults.
- Supervise installation activities and provide guidance to client-side technicians.
- Offer product and technical training sessions to clients, channel distributors, and internal teams across India.
- Recommend the most suitable products from the Selec product range to meet client requirements.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and software principles relevant to automation.
- Proficiency in PLC programming languages such as Ladder Logic and Function Block Diagram (FBD).
- Good oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Willingness to travel as required to support on-site installations and client engagements.
