Polisher Mould-Tool Room

We are seeking a skilled Polishing and Finishing Technician to join our team, responsible for enhancing molds, dies, and tool components to meet stringent surface quality, precision, and dimensional accuracy standards required for production. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both manual and machine polishing techniques, ensuring that all finished parts comply with specified surface finishes and quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform manual and machine polishing on molds, dies, punches, and other tool room components to achieve the desired surface finish, whether mirror, semi-finish, or matte.
- Remove scratches, tool marks, and other surface imperfections from metal components using appropriate polishing tools, abrasives, buffing machines, and compounds.
- Assist in the maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of molds to extend their service life and maintain production efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with machinists and toolmakers to ensure finishing requirements are met according to production standards.
- Conduct thorough inspections of finished surfaces through visual checks and measuring instruments to verify quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Maintain polishing equipment in good working condition and ensure proper handling and storage of tools.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and maintain cleanliness and organization within the work area.
- Meet production deadlines while upholding high-quality standards.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum educational qualification of Matriculation.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in tool room or mold polishing.
- Proficient knowledge of polishing techniques including hand polishing, buffing, and lapping.
- Familiarity with different tool steels and mold materials.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of precision in work.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Basic ability to read technical drawings is preferred.
- Understanding of various surface finish grades and their applications.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information

- Experience in the stationery or plastic manufacturing industry is considered an advantage.
- The position requires onsite work at the Karachi location.
- Candidates must be able to work in person and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
