Job Description

A development sector organization working in the fields of Population, Health and Education intends to hire services of an expert Data Analyst to perform tasks around data management, analysis and research using modern approaches and tools. The selected individual will work with us as part-time and most of the time remotely, over the period of 6 months.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop data analyses plan as per requirement for specified datasets from national and provincial surveys including PDHS, MICS, PDS, HIES and others, from government systems and from projects for inclusion in the knowledge hub of organizational website
Create appropriate syntax and carry out the analyses as per the data analyses plan
Develop documents and PowerPoint presentations on the basis of analyses, including appropriate graphic representation of analysis for the knowledge hub
Provide support in developing protocols and tools for different studies
Coordinating field activities for different studies in terms of training investigators, field monitoring, data cleaning, analyses and reporting

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Masters in statistics, population sciences, public health or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in analysing large-scale datasets, experience in both qualitative and quantitative approaches will be preferred
Field experience of data collection, monitoring and supervision and implementing research studies
Proficiency in statistical and related computer packages for managing, analyzing datasets and producing engaging visualizations (SPSS, STATA, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
Understanding of family planning, maternal, neonatal and child health issues; relevant national programs, quality of care and gender issues
Excellent written and oral English-language communications skills
