POSM Designer

We are seeking a dedicated POSM Designer who is passionate about design, takes full ownership of their work, and thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment. The ideal candidate enjoys tackling complex tasks and consistently delivers creative, practical, and high-quality design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Creative Design & Concept Development: Create innovative and visually appealing concepts for POSM displays, exhibition booths, customized plaques, awards, signage, retail displays, promotional stands, and other branding or fabrication products. Independently transform basic instructions, sketches, or reference images into complete design concepts. Proactively suggest design improvements while adhering to project requirements.

- 3D Visualization & Technical Design: Develop realistic, high-quality 3D models and photorealistic renderings using professional software. Demonstrate proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and at least one 3D design and rendering tool. Ensure all designs accurately reflect real-world dimensions, proportions, material thicknesses, textures, finishes, and colors. Translate approximate size instructions into precise 3D models that are structurally feasible and suitable for manufacturing.

- Material Knowledge & Manufacturing Feasibility: Apply a strong understanding of materials such as MDF, melamine, acrylic, stainless steel, aluminum, PVC, and foam board. Know standard material thicknesses and fabrication limitations, and accurately calculate combined material dimensions. Maintain realistic material representation in designs and avoid impractical or exaggerated concepts. Use physical measurement tools as needed to verify dimensions.

- Design Accuracy & Quality Assurance: Produce error-free designs with meticulous attention to detail. Verify all dimensions, proportions, material specifications, and alignment before submission. Ensure consistency across all design stages and strictly follow approved concepts and project guidelines. Conduct thorough reviews to minimize errors and reduce production delays.

- Design Revisions & Project Coordination: Efficiently incorporate feedback from internal teams and clients. Review and implement requested modifications accurately. Develop alternative design options when necessary. Manage multiple projects and revisions simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining organized files and documentation.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in POSM design, 3D product visualization, exhibition design, retail displays, or related fields.
- Excellent skills in Adobe Illustrator and proficiency in at least one professional 3D design and rendering software.
- Strong understanding of real-world dimensions, proportions, material thicknesses, scale, and manufacturing feasibility.
- Practical knowledge of fabrication materials including acrylic, MDF, melamine, stainless steel, wood, and aluminum.
- Familiarity with manufacturing techniques such as CNC routing, laser cutting, UV printing, engraving, and product assembly.
- Ability to independently develop creative and manufacturable 3D designs from basic instructions or references.
- Exceptional attention to detail ensuring accuracy in dimensions, proportions, and material specifications.
- Capability to produce high-quality, realistic 3D renderings suitable for presentations.
- Comfortable managing multiple assignments, tight deadlines, and evolving project requirements.
- Strong ownership, accountability, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Professional approach to feedback, revisions, and collaborative work.
- Willingness to occasionally support urgent projects outside regular hours with proper coordination.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in 3D product visualization and photorealistic rendering.
- Background in designing customized corporate awards, trophies, plaques, and recognition products.
- Expertise in exhibition booths, promotional displays, POSM, retail displays, and signage.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication materials like acrylic, stainless steel, wood, MDF, and melamine.
- Knowledge of practical manufacturing methods including CNC routing, laser cutting, UV printing, engraving, and assembly.
- Ability to create attractive yet realistically manufacturable designs rather than purely conceptual work.
