POSM Designer

We are seeking a dedicated POSM Designer who is passionate about creating innovative designs, takes full ownership of their work, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate enjoys tackling challenging tasks and consistently delivers high-quality, practical design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Creative Design & Concept Development: Develop visually compelling and professional concepts for POSM displays, exhibition booths, customized plaques, awards, signage, retail displays, promotional stands, and other branding or fabrication products. Independently transform basic instructions, sketches, or reference images into complete design concepts. Exhibit creativity, initiative, and enthusiasm in solving design challenges while suggesting practical improvements aligned with project requirements.

- 3D Visualization & Technical Design: Create realistic, high-quality 3D models and photorealistic renderings using professional 3D design software. Demonstrate proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and at least one 3D design and rendering tool. Ensure designs accurately reflect real-world dimensions, proportions, scale, material thicknesses, textures, finishes, and colors. Translate approximate size instructions into precise 3D models that are technically feasible and suitable for manufacturing, fabrication, installation, or assembly.

- Material Knowledge & Manufacturing Feasibility: Possess a strong understanding of materials such as MDF, melamine, acrylic, stainless steel, aluminum, PVC, foam board, and other fabrication materials. Understand standard material thicknesses, fabrication limitations, and how materials can be combined to achieve desired dimensions and depth. Accurately calculate combined material thicknesses and differentiate between material thickness, overall product depth, structural components, and decorative layers. Maintain realistic material representation in 3D renderings and avoid impractical or exaggerated designs. Use physical measurement tools as needed for dimension verification.

- Design Accuracy & Quality Assurance: Produce error-free designs with meticulous attention to detail. Verify all dimensions, proportions, material specifications, alignment, spacing, and instructions before submission. Maintain consistency across all design stages and strictly adhere to approved concepts, specifications, and project guidelines. Conduct thorough reviews to minimize errors, reduce rework, and prevent production delays.

- Design Revisions & Project Coordination: Incorporate feedback from internal teams and clients professionally and efficiently. Carefully review written comments to ensure all requested changes are implemented accurately. Develop alternative design options when necessary. Manage multiple assignments and revisions simultaneously, meeting agreed deadlines. Keep design files, project assets, and documentation well-organized.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in POSM design, 3D product visualization, exhibition design, retail displays, or related fields.
- Excellent proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and working knowledge of at least one professional 3D design and rendering software.
- Strong understanding of real-world dimensions, proportions, material thicknesses, scale, and manufacturing feasibility.
- Practical knowledge of materials such as acrylic, MDF, melamine, stainless steel, wood, aluminum, and other fabrication materials.
- Familiarity with fabrication and manufacturing techniques including CNC routing, laser cutting, UV printing, engraving, material layering, and product assembly.
- Ability to independently develop creative and manufacturable 3D designs from basic instructions or reference images.
- Exceptional attention to detail ensuring accuracy in dimensions, proportions, and material specifications.
- Capability to produce high-quality, realistic 3D renderings and presentation-ready visualizations.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects, tight deadlines, design revisions, and evolving requirements.
- Strong ownership, accountability, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Professional attitude toward feedback, revisions, and collaboration.
- Willingness to occasionally support urgent projects outside regular working hours with reasonable coordination.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in 3D product visualization and photorealistic rendering is highly desirable. Familiarity with designing customized corporate awards, trophies, plaques, exhibition booths, promotional displays, POSM, retail displays, and signage is a strong advantage. Knowledge of practical manufacturing methods such as CNC routing, laser cutting, UV printing, engraving, and product assembly is preferred. Candidates who can develop attractive yet realistically manufacturable designs rather than purely conceptual ones will be highly valued.
