The Enumerator is responsible for managing data collection processes using various electronic and mobile tools, ensuring data quality and integrity to guide informed decision-making in poverty eradication programs. With at least six years of experience, the candidate must demonstrate proficiency in survey administration and data analysis to successfully execute assigned tasks. This role requires leadership skills to manage a team of twenty field researchers, coordinating activities across different locations to optimize coverage and efficiency. The Enumerator ensures that team members adhere to local-language requirements to facilitate communication and trust within communities. The position demands strong organizational capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot challenges encountered during field operations. Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate a team of 20 field researchers to conduct data collection activities in both urban and rural settings.
  • Design and implement survey instruments and mobile data collection forms tailored to the target populations and local languages.
  • Conduct interviews using validated techniques to gather comprehensive and accurate information from respondents.
  • Utilize survey software platforms such as Qualtrics and SurveyMonkey to administer surveys and manage data efficiently.
  • Deploy mobile data collection tools like Open Data Kit and KoBoToolbox to capture data in field environments.
  • Train and supervise field researchers on effective data collection methods and proper use of electronic tools.
  • Ensure data quality by performing regular checks, validation, and cleaning of collected datasets.
  • Collaborate with data analysts to interpret survey results and generate meaningful insights that support program goals.
  • Address challenges encountered during fieldwork promptly and adapt data collection strategies as needed.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of field activities, respondent contacts, and survey progress for accountability.
  • Engage communities respectfully, ensuring ethical standards and confidentiality throughout data collection.
  • Report on team performance, field findings, and any operational issues to senior management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of data collection methodologies to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Coordinate logistics for field operations, including transportation, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Facilitate communication between team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives.

Poverty is the root cause of every problem in the society, has no doubts worse affects on human life. Traditional gender roles in Pakistan especially in NWFP, which remains indulged in tribal culture, define the woman’s place as in the home and not in the workplace, and define the man as the breadwinner. Consequently, the society invests far less in women than men. Women in NWFP suffer more from poverty of opportunities throughout their lives as compared to other provinces. Economic vulnerability is a key factor in the rise of poverty in Pakistan; vulnerability also arises from social powerlessness, political instability, and ill-functioning institutions. Corruption and political instabilities such as various separatist movements in Baluchistan and Waziristan resulted in reduction of business confidence, deterioration of economic growth, reduced public expenditure, poor delivery of public services, and undermining of the rule of law. The root causes of current unrest in whole country especially FATA and FRS are linked with the absence of the opportunities for youth in all sections of life in general and particular in livelihoods. Active participation of the youth in decision making and development of the area is neglected and never given a chance to decide their fate. This made youth of the area frustrated and restless and compelled them to take part in the unhealthy activities. Poverty and the lack of modern curriculum have proved destabilizing factors for Pakistani society as these causes our youth to be exploited by religious organizations banned by the government to run schools and produce militant literature. Eradication of poverty cannot be brought about by charity, but needs first and foremost empowering the poor, focusing on women, and tapping their tremendous potential.
