PowerPoint Specialist

In this hourly, remote contractor position, you will serve as a PowerPoint Specialist (Subject Matter Expert) responsible for creating realistic and challenging computer-based tasks using Microsoft PowerPoint. Your role involves designing practical presentation tasks, clearly documenting them in SuperAnnotate, ensuring your technical setup supports the task requirements, and recording yourself performing these tasks on your computer. The assignments may include creating slides, editing layouts, applying themes, inserting charts, images, shapes, SmartArt, tables, speaker notes, animations, transitions, branded templates, business decks, educational slides, or performing presentation cleanup workflows. Your contributions will support the training of advanced AI models by demonstrating how real users develop and edit presentation materials.

Key Responsibilities

- Create realistic PowerPoint tasks by designing challenging and practical assignments that can be executed on a computer using PowerPoint. Document these tasks clearly within SuperAnnotate.
- Prepare your work environment to support task execution, ensuring PowerPoint is installed or accessible, necessary files, images, charts, templates, and references are ready prior to recording.
- Record yourself performing the PowerPoint tasks, following project instructions carefully to ensure workflows are clear, complete, and reflect real-world use cases.
- Provide thorough documentation of each task, including context, step-by-step instructions, goals, files, assets, and notes, so reviewers fully understand the task and how it was completed.
- Demonstrate practical use of PowerPoint features such as slide creation, formatting, layouts, themes, charts, tables, images, animations, speaker notes, templates, and exports where applicable.
- Maintain high submission quality by reviewing recordings and documentation before submission, ensuring tasks are complete, understandable, realistic, and aligned with project guidelines.

Required Qualifications

- Hands-on experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, including creating presentations, business decks, educational slides, reports, templates, charts, or other visual communication workflows.
- Proficiency in English at a B2 level or higher to comprehend project instructions, document tasks clearly, and communicate effectively with the project team.
- Comfortable using a computer for managing files, launching required programs, navigating software interfaces, and recording workflows.
- Ability to design realistic and challenging PowerPoint tasks that reflect actual business, education, sales, administration, marketing, reporting, or presentation design scenarios.
- Strong understanding of PowerPoint fundamentals such as slide layouts, themes, formatting, images, shapes, charts, tables, animations, transitions, speaker notes, and export functions.
- Capability to ensure your setup supports task requirements, including having PowerPoint installed or accessible, preparing necessary files/assets, templates, and references before recording.
- High attention to detail during task preparation, execution, and review to guarantee that recordings are complete and easily understood.
- Reliable and self-directed, able to consistently deliver quality work in an hourly, remote contractor role across different time zones.
