Powertech is seeking a dedicated EHS Manager with a minimum of three years of experience to lead and oversee environmental, health, and safety initiatives within the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 50 persons, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations, and fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across all operations. This role requires strong leadership and a proactive approach to identify risks and implement effective safety measures. The EHS Manager will conduct thorough safety audits and inspections, develop policies and procedures to promote workplace safety, and ensure that all activities comply with legal standards. They will collaborate with various departments to drive continuous improvement in safety performance while managing reporting and documentation. This position demands excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to guide a large team in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of 50 employees focused on environmental, health, and safety initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with established safety protocols.
  • Promote a safety-first culture by organizing training sessions, awareness programs, and campaigns to educate employees on best safety practices.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal environmental health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety considerations into operational processes and project planning.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate reports, records, and documentation of safety activities and compliance status.
  • Monitor and evaluate safety performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage emergency preparedness and response plans, ensuring readiness across the organization.
  • Advise management on EHS risks and recommend strategies to mitigate hazards and enhance safety outcomes.
  • Coordinate with external agencies, auditors, and inspectors during compliance evaluations and regulatory visits.
