PP Tank Fabrication Technician

We are seeking a skilled PP Tank Fabrication Technician to join our Fabrication Division. This role involves the manufacturing of Polypropylene (PP) tanks specifically designed for specialized and fire-fighting vehicles. The technician will be responsible for the complete fabrication process, ensuring high-quality production that meets engineering standards and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture PP tanks from raw polypropylene sheets through all stages of fabrication.
- Accurately measure, mark, and cut PP sheets according to technical drawings and specified dimensions.
- Perform fabrication tasks including bending, fitting, and assembly of PP components.
- Execute PP/plastic welding using appropriate welding techniques and equipment to ensure strong, durable joints.
- Fabricate various tank components such as bodies, partitions, reinforcements, covers, nozzles, and outlets.
- Install flanges, fittings, connections, and other necessary tank accessories.
- Carry out grinding, finishing, and surface preparation to meet quality standards.
- Inspect fabricated tanks for dimensional accuracy, welding quality, and leakage to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Perform modifications, repairs, and rectifications on PP tanks as required.
- Follow engineering drawings, specifications, measurements, and fabrication standards meticulously.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the fabrication area.
- Collaborate effectively with supervisors and other teams involved in vehicle assembly during tank installation.

Required Qualifications
- Technical diploma or vocational qualification in fabrication, welding, plastics, or a related trade is preferred.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in PP, plastic, or thermoplastic fabrication, ideally within tank manufacturing.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of PP sheet cutting, fabrication, and plastic welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings, measurements, and fabrication dimensions.
- Experience working with hand tools, fabrication equipment, and welding machines.
- Good understanding of quality assurance and safety practices in a fabrication environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
